Brief: A pre-owned home in suburban Mumbai underwent layout transformation to form an abode which provides utmost comfort & creates a sense of timeless design.
Living Room: The Living room furniture is designed in a contemporary style with minimum furniture & subtle grey and white tones dominating the pallete.
The abstract art & the blue accent chair acts a catalyst to liven up the space.
The wooden ceiling which defines the dining area helps break the monotony.
Passage area: The living room leads into a passage area which houses the temple, Hence designed with traditional motifs backed with rich silk fabric highlighted with gold leafing & protected with toughened glass.
The wooden passage area overlooks the marble bar counter which also serves the occupants as a brunch table due to its proximity to the kitchen. We have customized the high stools for the bar which are ergonomic & provide comfort.
The Spanish gold tiles on the basin wall were chosen to be in sync with the gold leafing on the bar counter panel .
Kitchen: The spacious kitchen replaces the wooden canvas with its grey back painted acrylic finish. Hence proving its connect with the living room’s muted look.
Master Bedroom: The master Bedroom ‘s interiors comprise of refreshing & upbeat colour pallete. The space is laid out to have an easy feel with the muted furniture making a backdrop for lively & vibrant furnishings. Hence allowing to change the look of the room every time the furnishing pallete is altered.
Daughter’s Room: The second bedroom takes its inspiration from the wooden canvas in the passage area. The wooden battens with lights on the bed wall highlights the upholstered bed while the dark grey ceiling and walls bring in the relaxed & cosy look to the space. The brick wall on the TV panel & the tv unit whose design is inspired by a vintage radio help bring in the antique element to the room.
